Travel Booklet

Overview

We took a family trip to China with our two toddlers. Since traveling with small kids can be challenging, I wanted to create something fun that could help them feel more involved throughout the trip. Inspired by a travel booklet idea I saw online, I decided to make our own personalized version based on the places we planned to visit.

Flow

Because my kids are still toddlers and cant read yet, I designed the booklet more like an activity book instead of a regular travel guide. I included simple activities they enjoy, like coloring, counting animals, finding objects, and playing with stickers.

I also tried to make every page feel connected to the actual places we visited in China, so the kids could recognize things around them during the trip. For the illustrations, I used AI to help generate images that matched each destination, while I personally worked on the activity ideas, layout, and overall design in Canva.

Result

The booklet ended up becoming one of the most fun parts of our trip. The kids were excited to use it and seemed more engaged during sightseeing because they could connect the activities with the places they saw in real life. It also helped keep them entertained during long days of traveling and made the whole experience feel more memorable for our family.
