My Story

Hi there! I’m an Indonesian living in Zhengzhou, China.

Back in university, I chose Mandarin as my major without realizing how much it would shape my life. It opened so many doors, both in my career and personally. Learning Chinese even led me to meet my husband and discover countless new experiences.

In 2019, I started working as a Personal Assistant, a role that made me a true generalist since I worked with all kinds of departments to keep things running smoothly.

Later, I joined a SaaS startup where I wore multiple hats, from translating between teams, researching users and competitors, testing new features, etc. Working in such a fast-paced environment sparked my curiosity about technology and gave me a deeper appreciation for building products that genuinely help people.

Today, I'm exploring a different creative path. Alongside teaching Mandarin, I'm building my personal brand through Lanmei Tales, where I share stories about everyday life in China from the perspective of an Indonesian Muslim raising a bilingual family. Through content creation, I've discovered a passion for storytelling, cross-cultural communication, and creating meaningful connections with people around the world.

I'm still passionate about learning new skills, whether in technology, languages, or content creation, and I enjoy combining them to create things that are both useful and meaningful.
